About the Author

W.C. Child is a former banker who followed her love for words into the author arena. She grew up in a small town in Tennessee, Union City, and infuses those values and her sense of humor into the fabric of her work. Whether it is for a short story, an inspirational poem or a fiction novel, she enjoys the journey that words orchestrate. She loves the creative freedom she experiences while writing and believes words will be her friends until the last ones are spoken about her.  Although singing is not one of her talents, she loves listening to music and binge-watching movies, sports and her favorite shows. She enjoys a good joke and believes there is nothing as beautiful as laughter.

WC Child rarely meets a stranger and enjoys holding conversations with anyone she meets. WC is a member of a book club and was honored to be a guest at their meeting to discuss her book., “Not Yet A Woman.”  In her spare time, she plays softball, and has twice competed in the Senior Olympics. Sports have always been an integral part of her life and still brings out her competitive side. When she really wants to decompress, she loves to escape to the beach, where she never gets tired of the sunsets or the unending melody played by the ocean waves. She resides with her family in Clarksville, Tennessee.
